Stacey Fung climbs the ranks with Jevitty
Vancouver-native Stacey Fung is on fire in the tennis world.
The tennis pro has climbed more than one hundred positions since the beginning of Graystone ITF Challenger, the latest of Fung’s tournaments, held in Fredericton, NB.
“This feeling is amazing. I knew the competition would be fierce, but climbing so high in the ranks – that’s a bonus,” says Fung.
She might have been surprised, but Jevitty Life Science and its CEO Jerry Kroll certainly saw the potential.
“When we sponsored Stacey, we saw – not just promising young talent – but a passion behind that talent,” explains Kroll. “With every tournament she plays, Stacey just reaffirms what we knew all along – that she’s got a winning career in front of her.”

Fung won the singles event that involved five matches. Going in, Fung was ranked 468th. She won over players ranked far higher than her.
“One challenger was ranked as high as 145th. But I was in a good mindset before the tournament started, which gave me confidence heading into what I knew were going to be tough matches,” says Fung.
“At times I found myself not thinking too much while I was on court. I knew I had been putting a lot of hard work in, so I was just trying to commit to my decisions and enjoy competing at my best while on the court,” she adds.
So how will Fung prepare?
“The same way I always do – train on the court, and in the gym,” she says. “The routine has proved to be successful. It’s a simple one, but effective. I don’t do anything special. I stick to my training, and occasionally call my dad for support.”
There is one small change she’s made with regards to tracking her health though.
